Stephen is a Christian, a devoted husband, and a proud father of two young girls. He was born and raised in Louisiana and has lived in Baton Rouge since the age of four. Being a fifth-generation Louisianian, he has strong family roots in the district and is invested in the success of the people of Louisiana.

Stephen was home schooled from K through 12th grade and attended and played football at Central High School his senior year. He went on to play football for McNeese State University and completed his degree in business at Louisiana State University. At LSU, he met his wife, Katherine, and the couple just welcomed their second baby earlier this year.

Stephen joined his family business working at Delta College, a proprietary school focused on training healthcare workers with campuses across the state. As the Chief Operating Officer of Delta College, Stephen’s responsibilities have included oversight of all campuses and business operations and managing over two hundred employees. For generations, Delta College has been a pillar of higher education in Louisiana.

Stephen is an ordained Deacon at Zoar Baptist Church in Central, Louisiana. Stephen has participated in many mission trips throughout his life and has taught Sunday School. He is also involved in community outreach with his Church. As a Christian, Stephen seeks God in all that he does.

Stephen has advocated for issues dear to his heart at both the state and national levels.  He has fought for school choice, veterans’ education benefits and growing the workforce to create jobs.  

Katherine and Stephen have also long been active in protecting the unborn. They regularly attend the Louisiana March for Life as well as support local Pro-Life organizations.

Stephen is a member of the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge and has served as Co-Chair of the New Member Welcome Committee.

Stephen never envisioned himself running for political office in this season of life, however, he feels God has opened this opportunity to him. As your Representative, Stephen will be guided by his Christian faith and approach problems with the mindset of a businessman to get the job done.  

Stephen is not a career politician. He is the only candidate in this race who will go to Washington DC to fight for all of us.
